I was in town running errands and had to catch up with some friends before leaving Port Harcourt the next day, so we planned to meet up and chill at Yogo Berry.
On getting there, I realized Baraka Eat House (Grill) was just across the road.
I excused myself and walked across into Baraka to place a quick order of Ribs and Chips which totally amounted to 3800 Naira. Before walking out, the well mannered and polite waiter asked if I wanted it as take away. I nodded and he said that it would cost an extra 300 Naira. I was stunned but I paid regardless and went back to join my friends at the Froyo Shop.
Just before we were all done, I went back into Baraka to pick up my food and to my greatest surprise, both chips and ribs were wrapped in foil paper. I mean, where is that even done?
I was really upset by the packaging and then I asked the waiter if this is how their meals for takeaway are usually packed and he responded "yes"
I was absolutely disappointed that such a classy place would have really low and appalling packaging of food. I was in a hurry and didn't want to rant and make a scene so I took my food and left.
On getting home the chips was really soggy and I had only just tweeted a few days ago about soggy chips😒
The ribs on the other hand was well seasoned and really juicy and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Rest assured, I wouldn't be ordering take out from there. I'd rather wait and eat my food there.
Baraka is located at:33 Apara Road Off Evo Road GRA
PORT HACOURT and just across from it is the amazing Yogoberry.

Be satisfied
